David Schroeder, President

As president of Nordby Signature Homes, David Schroeder oversees residential construction companywide with over 20 years of experience as a builder. David joined the Nordby team in 2000 as a project manager and became vice president in of Signature Homes in 2005.

Today, he is a Nordby partner focused on client relationships and business development. In his experience leading Nordby Signature Homes, David has seen many clients return to Nordby to build an additional home or commercial project. He says, "It is the highest compliment when a client comes back for another project.”

David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and Engineering with undergraduate studies in architecture from Arizona State University. He is a husband and father of two children. David enjoys supporting youth sports in his local community. He coached youth basketball and served as a board member of the Positive Coaching Alliance for several years. In his spare time, you can find David on the golf course.

Craig Nordby

Craig Nordby, CEO

Bio Email

Craig has over 26 years of construction experience working his way up from project engineer to managing operations for Nordby Construction. As company CEO, Craig oversees project managers, project engineers, and field superintendents responsible for the construction phase of Nordby’s commercial building projects. Craig's responsibilities include coordinating, managing, and controlling all project activities. In addition, he is responsible for overall contracts, cost management, monitoring job progress, and Due Diligence Projects.

Bob Collins

Bob Collins, Chief Financial Officer

Bio Email

Bob has over 30 years of accounting, finance and administration experience. As Chief Financial Officer Bob is responsible for the accounting and finance activities. He has extensive experience in managing banking relationships, financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash management. Bob joined Nordby Construction in 1999.

Michael Quesenbury

Senior Project Manager

Michael Quesenbury, Senior Project Manager

As senior project manager of Nordby Signature Homes, Michael Quesenbury’s responsibilities encompass guiding the owner and team through the entire project life cycle; from navigating the entitlement & permit process, assistance in the design development, managing project costs and scheduling, to project commissioning and occupancy. With over 22 years of experience ranging from field work as a carpenter then superintendent to his current role as a senior project manager and estimator, Michael oversees the management of luxury estate projects, bringing a sensitive eye to design and detail, attention to quality, accurate accounting, and open communication with all members of the project team. Michael joined the Nordby team this year as a senior project manager to guide the growth of Signature Homes with a special focus on luxury estate projects.

Michael has a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Washington. Michael is a LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Document Technologist, Board Member for the Redwood Empire Construction Specifications Institute and Allied Director for the Redwood Empire Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Michael enjoys fine woodworking, attending art opens and helping his son build with Legos. In his spare time, you may find Michael on walks with his Dalmatian around Spring Lake.

Meagan Neisius

Meagan Neisius, Project Administrator

As a project administrator of Nordby Signature Homes, Meagan Neisius supports the project team by setting up new projects, creating project directories, maintaining project files, and assisting with project close-out. Meagan focuses on internal and external project subcontractor coordination ensuring a more seamless project process. In her experience, Meagan has learned to focus on attention to detail and that being thorough saves time and money. She says, “It’s better to measure twice and cut once, otherwise you might need a new piece of wood!” Meagan joined the Nordby team in April of 2013 and continues to contribute to Signature Homes’ success and growth.

Meagan enjoys spending time with her family. In her spare time, you can find her at home relaxing with her husband and five children.

Courtney Soekland

Courtney Soekland, Project Administrator

As project administrator at Nordby Signature Homes, Courtney Soekland is responsible for providing administrative and organizational support to project managers and subcontractors. Joining the Nordby team in 2017, Courtney is helping to guide the continued growth of Signature Homes.

Courtney has a Business Administration degree from California State University Monterey Bay. She is currently enrolled in CSI’s Construction Documents Technology (CDT) Program to help expand her knowledge of the construction process. Her short-term goal is to become a Project Engineer.

Courtney enjoys golfing, camping, and spending time with family. In her spare time, you can find Courtney on the golf course or camping in the redwoods.

Brian Olhiser

Brian Olhiser, Senior Project Manager

As senior project manager of Nordby Signature Homes, Brian Olhiser oversees residential construction projects bringing over 18 years of experience as a builder. Brian started his career as a carpenter and his experience includes detailing and customer service for new homes before becoming a superintendent for subdivisions, custom homes and commercial projects throughout Sonoma and Napa Counties.

In 2015, he joined the Nordby team as a superintendent. Brian focuses on providing outstanding quality and establishing client relationships. In his experience, Brian believes that honest, open communication with clients and the design team is key to the success of a project. He says, “A client’s trust in managing their project is so important to achieve an efficient, fun, successful project.”
Brian is the father of three daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and participating in sports and auto racing. In his spare time, you can find Brian on the golf course, at a racetrack, or dragstrip.

Darrin Rash

Project Superintendent

Darrin Rash, Project Superintendent

As a project superintendent of Nordby Signature Homes, Darrin Rash supports the project team in all areas and is in charge of safety, quality workmanship, on-time scheduling and keeping within budget on each project. Darrin joined the Nordby team in January of 2006 as a project superintendent and makes great contributions to Nordby Signature Homes’ continued success.

Darrin is focused on the coordination and supervision of all field operations from the beginning of the project until completion and acceptance by the owner. In his experience, Darrin has learned to oversee all phases of the construction process.

Darrin started his career in Las Vegas over 30 years ago. He worked his way through the trades as laborer, carpenter and journeyman carpenter. Darrin’s project experience includes casinos, hotels, and multifamily units. Today, Darrin’s main focus is on custom homes.

Darrin spent over 14 years coaching youth soccer in the Santa Rosa area. In his spare time, you may find Darrin camping, fishing and relaxing.

Connor Tynan

Connor Tynan, Project Superintendent

As a project superintendent of Nordby Signature Homes, Connor Tynan supports the team in all areas and oversees safety, quality workmanship, scheduling and keeping within budget on each project. Connor joined the Nordby team 11 years ago as an Assistant Superintendent and continues to make great contributions to Nordby Signature Homes’ continued success.

Connor is vigilant in maintaining his focus detail from the foundation to finish work, ensuring a quality finish product. Connor has learned it is critical with today’s ever evolving technologies, that it is important to stay up with the latest advancement of technologies in the trades to better support both the client and Nordby.

Conner started his career as a laborer over 21 years ago. He worked his way through the trades from carpenter to superintendent. Conner has 10 years’ experience in field carpentry and 11 years in management. He began his career building custom homes. Each project was from “dirt to turn-key”, requiring him to play a direct role in performing tract work, foundation and flatwork, rough framing, finish carpentry, and hardware installation. In all these effects, Conner had to have a keen understanding of the final details in preparation for owner occupancy. In his career, Conner also had the opportunity to work on commercial projects. These projects included a high-end subdivision, a golf course club house, and new construction and remodel of wineries.

Conner enjoys working with clients and helping them through their journey in achieving their dream home. Describing the experience, he says, “I love being a part of the process that was once someone’s vision or thought and making it a reality.” He is vigilant in maintaining his focus detail from the foundation to finish work, ensuring a quality finish product.

Connor enjoys cycling/MTB or just being outdoors. In his spare time, you will find Connor helping to coach youth baseball, helping where he can with other sports, going for a drive out to the coast to hang out at the beach or even taking an occasional camping trip.

Kevin Ashworth

Kevin Ashworth, Project Superintendent

As a project superintendent of Nordby Signature Homes, Kevin Ashworth supports the team in overseeing projects, conversing with owners, employees, subcontractors, and scheduling to make the job be as efficient as possible. Kevin joined the Nordby team 3 years ago as a foreman and has contributed to Nordby Signature Homes’ continued success.

Kevin started his career as a laborer over 30 years ago. He worked his way through the trades as laborer, sheet-metal worker, electrician and then finding his way as a carpenter. From carpenter, he work his way up to a foreman. As a foreman, he oversaw framing crews for residential, apartment and custom home construction. In these experiences, Kevin has learned it is critical to be a good leader, make good decisions, and treat people with respect.

Kevin enjoys working out, playing sports and being outdoors. In his spare time, you will find Kevin Ashworth spending time with his family being a good husband and father to his son.

Tony Johansen

Tony Johansen, Project Superintendent

As a project superintendent of Nordby Signature Homes, Tony Johansen supports the team in all areas and is in charge of safety, quality workmanship, on-time scheduling and keeping within budget on each project. Tony joined the Nordby team in April 2018 and is making great contributions to Nordby Signature Homes’ continued success.

Tony is focused on the coordination and supervision of all field operations from fruition of the project, until completion and acceptance by the owner. Tony’s adaptability leads him to have a critical eye during construction, in order to fulfill the client’s needs.

Tony started his career as a carpenter over 20 years ago. He worked his way up to foreman and up to superintendent. Tony’s project experience includes high-end custom homes throughout the Bay Area and boutique wineries in Sonoma County.
In his spare time, Tony likes mountain biking, spending time with his friends and most of all being in Tahoe with his family.

Tyler Deckard

As a project superintendent of Nordby Signature Homes, Tyler Deckard supports the team in all areas and is in charge of safety, quality workmanship, on-time scheduling and keeping within budget on each project. Tyler joined the Nordby team in June 2002 as a carpenter and makes great contributions to Nordby Signature Homes’ continued success.

Tyler is focused on the coordination and supervision of all field operations from the beginning of the project until completion and acceptance by the owner. In his experience, Tyler has learned to share his enthusiasm for building with clients, architects and other tradesmen to help facilitate a cooperative approach to each project.

Tyler started his career as a carpenter over 18 years ago while attending college. Tyler has a degree in mathematics with an emphasis in education from Pacific Union College. He worked his way through the trades as carpenter, assistant superintendent and project engineer. Tyler’s body of work includes a variety of custom home projects from a small concrete guesthouse to large estates. Tyler is also holds the following certifications: 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health Training Course, CPR, Workplace bloodborne pathogens, basic fall protection, forklift, scaffolding competent person, powder actuated tools.

Tyler enjoys time outside on his mountain bike or a beautiful hike. In his spare time, you will find Tyler off adventuring with his kids or tinkering on the car in the garage.

Rick Gerwin

Rick Gerwin, Project Superintendent

As a project superintendent of Nordby Signature Homes, Tyler Deckard supports the team in all areas and takes pride in each project he manages. Rick joined the Nordby team this year and looks forward to contributing to Nordby Signature Homes’ continued success.

Rick is focused on quality work and completing his projects on time and within budget. In his experience Rick has learned to be proactive and to communicate effectively with his team.

Rick started his career as a laborer over 30 years ago. He worked his way through the trades from laborer to lead carpenter before starting his own construction company specializing in structural framing and eventually building custom homes.

Rick enjoys, skiing, mountain bike riding, and fly fishing. In his spare time, you will find Rick in the mountains.
